Q: How long is my membership in the I.D. Program?
A: Memberships are valid for one calendar year, regardless of your date of acceptance, your membership will expire on 12/31 of that year. However, we usually begin a renewal process in late November.
Q: When is the annual renewal process?
A: Membership renewals are typically in late November. Be sure to check the micro site the last two weeks of November for details on renewing your membership.
Q: What are the P.A.C.E. and Bluestreak Teams?
A: P.A.C.E. (performance and coaching elite) and Bluestreak are two higher levels of sponsorship within Brooks I.D. They receive additional gear and some other incentives.
Q: How do I get accepted in the P.A.C.E. or Bluestreak Team in 2011?
A: P.A.C.E. and Bluestreak members demonstrate exceptional influence in their running communities through coaching, volunteering, positive media exposures, speaking, directing races, etc. Although it is not an exact science, we try to reward outstanding performers in these categories.
Q: How do I get a uniform?
A: Steve will send out uniforms to new members on a monthly basis. If you have not received your uniform, please email Steve with your sizes.
Q: Do Triathletes receive a uniform?
A: No, we don’t currently have a triathlon specific uniform. However, if you intend to change into a running singlet, or compete in running-only events we are happy to send you the I.D. Elite running uniform. Please wear Brooks shoes while racing and we recommend a hat and/or visor as well.
Q: Where do I go to buy discounted product?
A: Go to www.brooksrunning.com/pro. If you are a new member, enter your email address and new password on the initial page, and then follow instructions to create a pro account. If you have already established an account, login via your user name and password, and then shop.
Q: Can I purchase product for friends and family members?
A: No, the discount is for you alone. However, we will have at least one annual friends and family sale and possible an additional sale in 2010.
Q: Why is the product so depleted on the pro site?
A: We are working on ensuring better quantities of inline product for our pro site. However, we can never guarantee an item’s availability, so buy it while you can!
Q: When will the new season’s gear be up on the pro site?
A: We have two apparel seasons at Brooks – Spring and Fall. The Spring apparel should be available online in late January and the Fall season in mid-July.
Q: If I’m accepted into the Brooks ID program, can I still be a Wear Tester?
A: Yes, and in fact often times priority is given to I.D. Members for wear testing projects.
Q: Where are the Wear Tester and/or the Positive Media Exposure applications?
A: There is a link to both the Wear Tester and PME applications under the “Forms” tab on the menu bar.
Q: How do I volunteer to help at a Brooks event?
A: We will post event needs on the “Events” page of the micro site. There will be instructions for responding there.
Q: Will there be a camp in 2010?
A: No, however there will be several regional events “mini-camps” and we hope to have another camp in 2011.
Q: Can I get a comp’d entry into a Rock n Roll race?
A: There will be special programs, including the race series, where Rock ‘n’ Roll comp’d entries are available. Otherwise, Competitor Group has offered many $10 off coupon codes for most Rock ‘n’ Roll events. Check the “News” tab for details on coupon codes.
